SENIOR ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER
Job Description
Develops analog circuits and systems for complex medical electronic and electromechanical instruments. Participates in system design, implementation, integration, and evaluation. Uses mixed-signal and system design simulation tools to analyze analog, high-frequency, and mixed-signal circuits and systems.
Specific job tasks include:
Develop high-efficiency MF and HF power amplifiers for medical ablation systems
Design power amplifiers and sources for 100 kHz to 10 MHz high-intensity focused ultrasound ablation systems
Design analog circuits for precision sensing and data acquisition of physical and physiological parameters, such as pressure, temperature, acceleration, and strain
Design analog sub-systems and interfaces to digital systems
Design circuits for radio, optical, and magnetic-coupled communications systems
Design and implement analog blocks, including low-level sensor interface, data acquisition electronics, variable gain amplifiers and high-power RF circuits
Design transformers and inductors for power amplifiers and power conversion circuits
Develop patient isolation systems for 4,000 VAC isolation and <10µA leakage current
Develop power conversion, motor control, and battery charging and management circuits
Design to meet medical EMI and ESD standards
Integrate various subsystems and software
Oversee PCB layout
Fully validate and document designs
Participate in circuit and system design reviews
Present designs to clients
Requirements
BSEE; MSEE preferred
At least 10 years experience in the development of analog and RF circuits
Some experience in medical device development desirable
Knowledge of medical device safety requirements highly desirable

EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Job Description
Firmware development for medical electronic and electromechanical instruments such as heart-assist devices, cardiac surgery support systems, patient monitors and telemedicine systems. Tasks include system and software architecture design, software requirements specification, software design, coding, testing, integration, software verification and validation, and documentation.
Requirements
Embedded C programming expertise
Software development lifecycle knowledge from concept through product release and maintenance
Real-time embedded product development experience
Experience with designing and implementing firmware modifications
Working knowledge of compilers, debuggers, and emulation tools
Medical device design experience valuable
Experience with 32-bit microcontrollers and configuration management a plus
Must be able to work independently and as a team player
BSEE or BSCS and at least 2-3 years of embedded software experience; MSEE or MSCS preferred

SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER
Job Description
Person will assist Director of Quality Assurance in ensuring that established company quality and regulatory policies are properly implemented and maintained.
Duties include:
Qualify new suppliers and audit existing suppliers
Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing and quality assurance problems observed both internally and at our suppliers
Ensure that ECO’s are properly implemented in Manufacturing and at suppliers
Schedule and coordinate engineering design reviews for each project
Develop inspection plans for new products and improve existing inspection plans as issues are identified
Monitor and ensure that projects comply with design control procedures
Manage the transfer of completed designs into manufacturing
Provide quality engineering support to manufacturing, including interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
Manage clean room quality control procedures and standards
Train personnel in Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs)
Requirements
Knowledge of FDA and ISO guidelines for medical devices
Experience with medical device design and manufacturing
Experience with supplier qualification
Proven experience managing and tracking multiple projects through all phases of design control
Experience in facilitating the transition of released projects for manufacturing readiness
Familiarity with disposables and clean-room/sterilization processes
Undergraduate engineering or technical degree
Minimum of 10 years experience in Quality/Manufacturing
Excellent communication skills

SOLIDWORKS DRAFTER
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SolidWorks drafter who can take a SW model and generate detailed drawings including top level assemblies, subassemblies, and components drawings and prepare appropriate documentation and BOM’s. Must be familiar with drafting standards, in particular Engineering Drawing Practices ASME Y14.5M geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Person will work under the direction of mechanical and electrical engineers and work closely with Documentation and Manufacturing personnel.
Requirements
Several years of SolidWorks experience required
Familiarity with medical device industry and regulations preferred
Electromechanical background is helpful; knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, sheet metal, fasteners, painting, and wiring helpful
Associate level technical degree or equivalent experience needed

MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Design & model medical devices utilizing 3D CAD/CAM & FEA analysis; Create solid models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks per ASME Y14.5M-1994; Develop, test & evaluate designs using SolidWorks, COSMOS, Matlab, Simulink & Labview; Recommend modifications according to prototype test results.
